What we collect
To run Go Wile, we collect the following:
• Account information — your name, email address, and @handle when you create an account.
• Place data — places you keep, pass, add notes to, or suggest to others.
• Connection data — the people you trust or dismiss within the app.
• Location — approximate location to show your map centered on your city. We do not store location history.
• Usage data — basic analytics like which screens you visit, to help us improve the app.
What we don't collect
• We do not collect precise GPS coordinates or movement history.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not build advertising profiles.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.
How we use your data
We use your data exclusively to operate Go Wile. This means routing place suggestions through your chain, showing your map, and letting you manage your connections. We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data to understand how the app is being used — this data cannot be traced back to you.
How we store your data
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted database provider. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or delete your account at any time from the Profile → Settings screen. For any privacy-related request, email us at privacy@gowile.app and we'll respond within 5 business days.
